Song of Achilles was so painful to read. I adored Patroclus so much and I knew how the book would end because I know the story of Achilles and Patroclus, so like, every time Patroclus was happy, I was crying because I knew it wouldn't last. *sobs* It's a painful read, but a beautifully written book.
Fun fact, though: My grandmother bought the book for my birthday and I haven't really had the heart to tell her she basically bought me gay fanfiction.
